Our Impact

Following the 2015 earthquake, many communities in the Ghandruk region were left without a school. Lower income families who could not afford to send their kids to boarding school in the city were left with few options to continue their children's educations. This led to communities like Ghurjung to open their doors and board these out of town children in order to give them an opportunity to study at their schools. Uphill Both Ways helped support 100 students by providing teaching materials to the school, learning materials and warm jackets to the students, and additional food supplies to the families that housed the children.
